Botswana’s approach to conservation has created some of the most exclusive and untouched safari experiences in the world. Each park has its own personality and offers a different kind of adventure.
Chobe National Park
Known as the Land of the Giants, Chobe has one of the largest elephant populations on the planet. Game drives are incredible, but a sunset cruise on the Chobe River is a must for seeing hippos, crocodiles, and elephants coming down to drink.
Moremi Game Reserve
Often described as one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa, Moremi’s mix of wetlands and woodlands is home to an incredible variety of wildlife. Leopard sightings are common, and the reserve is one of the best places to see African wild dogs. Seasonal floods from the Okavango Delta add a magical water-based dimension to safaris here.
Okavango Delta
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Delta is one of the world’s largest inland deltas. Between May and August, floodwaters create a maze of channels and lagoons. A mokoro (traditional canoe) ride lets you glide silently through this watery wilderness, spotting birds, elephants, and antelope along the way.
Travel tip: Combine parks for variety. Spend time in both dry savannah and wetland environments for the most complete safari experience.
